Ben Fry, co-creator of Processing, announced today that he has a new company, Fathom. Along with Teri Schindler, Chris Brown, and Lynn Kiang, the group will focus on data visualization. “Fathom Information Design helps clients understand complex data through information graphics, interactive tools, and software for the installations, the web and mobile devices,” the website states.

Wednesday, July 14th, 2010Just to make things more complicated, this is a two part sketch. The first sketch was exported to pdf, converted to jpg and then imported into a second sketch. That sketch took a color sample based on a coordinate, then drew a box at that same location adjusting color along the way. That was done 2000 times. Hat tip to Daniel Shiffman for the starter code on the second sketch.
